Georg Gerlach

Georg Gerlach (1874 - 1962) was active/lived in Germany.  Georg Gerlach is known for Landscape and flower paintings.

Georg Gerlach was born in Berlin and studied at the Education and Research Institute for Graphics in Vienna.  In addition, he received private painting lessons.  Subsequently he attended the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts as well as the Munich Art School, and the Academy in Munich.  He was trained at the Austrian Museum of Art and Industry.

During World War I he worked as a war artist.  Gerlach exhibited his works, which were mainly influenced by impressionism, in the Vienna Künstlerhaus, the Hagenbund, and the Vienna Secession. 

The artist's favorite motifs were landscapes and flowers.  He traveled to Germany, France, and Italy.
