Attila

Attila (1931 - 1987) was active/lived in France, Hungary.  Attila is known for Painting, prints.

Attila Biro was born February 20, 1931 in Budapest. In 1944, at thirteen, he left Hungary with his family. After a short stay in Austria, he lived in Germany from 1945 to 1951 and from 1952 to 1958.

Atila began his studies of architecture from 1951 to 1952 at the Workshop Pingusson the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.  He finished in 1958 in Stuttgart, where he studied the architect Günter Behnisch, the philosopher Max Bense and the painter Willi Baumeister.

He settled in Paris in 1959, where he married in 1963 Lila Lakshmanan.  A naturalized French citizen since 1970, Atila continued his work in Paris until his death in 1987 at the age of fifty-six.

From 1959 to late 1973, Atila worked with several agencies in Paris where he participated in important projects of architecture and urban planning, including the district of La Defense, Paris.
