Aris Kalaizis (Born 1966) is active/lives in Germany.  Aris Kalaizis is known for Monumental sculptures in public spaces, abstract and reduced vocabulary of elementary, geometric bodies, steel as preferred material, basic rectangular shape, cutting open or incising and bending partial areas into space..

German-Greek painter Aris Kalaizis was born in 1966. 

Kalaizis attended the New Leipzig School. After autodidactic activity in artistic subculture and an apprenticeship as an offset printer, Kalaizis, studied from 1992-2000 at the Leipzig Academy of Graphic Arts and Book Art.  Kalaizis studied under Neo Rauch and Arno Rink, ultimately as the latter's master student.

He had solo exhibitions not only in Germany, but also in New York and China. Kalaizis often paints his pictures after elaborate self-constructed stage sets, which is why very few works are created.   ...  [Displaying 592 of 1183 characters.]  Artist bio
