Andrea Miglionico

Andrea Miglionico (1662 - 1711) was active/lived in Italy.  Andrea Miglionico is known for Painting, fresco, religous.

A native of Lucania, Andrea Miglionico is documented in Naples in 1689. His style openly expresses a giordanesca culture, and therefore there is no doubt that in the early years, he was a participant of the production master's workshop. There is a document dated 1693 that relates Miglionico to a painting for the St. James Chapel in Mugnano, but to this day the only canvas that refers to him with certainty in Naples is the 'Pentecost' kept in the Church of St. Anthony in Tarsia. It is characterized by a mature assimilation of Jordan to the warm colors and the drafts pasty. In Campania there are six paintings for the church of San Michele in Sant'Andrea di Conza, in which you perceive solimenesche suggestions and also two paintings on the ceiling of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Baronissi dated to 1695.
