Slawomir Elsner was born in 1976 in Wodzislaw Slaski, Poland. He works with photography, painting, and drawing, and often blurs the sense of events in his works, focusing on their aesthetic values. Elsner studied at the Kunsthochschule in Kassel from 1995-2002. He has created several series of works, including "Seven Rooms from Grandfather's House," "Slawomir," "Landscapes," and "Panorama." 

The "Panorama" series was inspired by a magazine of the same name, and Elsner painted several dozen paintings in the 1970s convention of photography on the painting medium. The series can be read as a kind of sentimental summary, not only referring to the figure of Elsner as an individual, but also to the changes that have taken place in the world of politics and art. Elsner's works have been awarded many times, including at the des dit photo competition in Frankfurt am Main and Selbst Im Weitesten Sinne in Kunstverein Marburg.
