Arthur Humpal (1902 - 1998) was active/lived in Indiana, Illinois.  Arthur Humpal is known for Landscape.

Born in Chicago, Illinois and a resident from 1927 of Nashville, Indiana, Arthur Humpal was a reclusive man who was part of the Brown County, Indiana art colony. He claimed that he never sold a painting, and when he was placed in a nursing home, 500 paintings were in his possession.

Arthur Humpal died October 15, 1998 at a Brown County (IN) nursing home facility. After he, age 89 and near death, was rescued by local authorities at his cabin on Weedpatch Hill in Nashville, Indiana on December 29, 1991, he was taken to the
hospital and then put into the nursing home the following year.
