Douglas Paul Morgan was born in Columbus, Ohio in 1948.  He was educated at the University of Dayton and the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, California. In addition to his work as a fine artist, he has taught at the Academy of Art College in the graduate and the under graduate departments.

Morgan has won numerous awards for his paintings, nationally and on the west coast, including California Art Club exhibitions and American Artist's Magazine Annual Competitions.  In 1996 and 1997, he was accepted into the Annual Arts for the Parks competition.  In 2003, he was awarded the second place jury award at the Napa Valley Museum Biennial Plein Air Painting Exhibition in Napa, California.  He was profiled in the 1996 issue of American Artist magazine, the December 2000 issue of the Artist's Magazine, Southwest Art magazine's 2002 May and June editions, Art of the West, May/June 2004 Edition and in the book, Best of Flo   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 3039 characters.]  Artist bio
