Luis Tomasello (1915 - 2014) was active/lived in Argentina, France.  Luis Tomasello is known for Painting and sculpture, kinetic art.

Luis Tomasello was a leading representative of Latin American Kinetic art. He was born in 1915 in La Plata, Argentina, and later studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires. There he began his studies as a concrete artist, inspired greatly by Mondrian.

After settling in Paris in 1957, where Op Art had become prevalent, he started working in relief, moving away from the linear nature of geometric abstraction, and directing his interest to form and color effects. Tomasello was fascinated by the reflection of color on surfaces, which gave way to the play with light and shadows seen in his work through out the rest of his career.

As a Kinetic artist from the Optical Art Movement, Tomasello developed a visual language that expresses visual movement through visual effects. He is most well known for his Atmosphere Chromoplastique works, which consisted of white cubes with painted undersides arranged at varying angles onto an identical white surface.
