Tomás Muñoz Lucena was a Spanish painter born in Cordoba in an unknown year. He trained in the Cordovan school of painting and later studied at the San Fernando School in Madrid with Federico de Madrazo. He was the first Cordovan painter in the impressionist style. He participated in the National Exhibition in Madrid and won several medals for his works. He also collaborated with magazines such as "Blanco y Negro" and "La Ilustración Española y Americana" as an illustrator. He retired in 1930 and moved to Madrid, where he died in 1943. His works are kept in various museums in Spain
