German landscape painter Carl Holzapfel was born in 1865 in Berlin and passed away in 1926 in Berlin. From 1883-1890 Holzapfel studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy under Eugen Dücker. Then from 1892-1896 studied at the art school in Weimar Theodor Hagen, and was active in Berlin from 1897. From 1903-1915 he was professor at the Academy in Kassel. Holzapfel was represented from 1893 regularly at the Great Berlin Art Exhibitions and exhibitions in the glass Palace in Munich. Holzapfel passed away in 1926._Thieme-Becker and Wikipedia_
