Olof Krumlinde was a Swedish artist who was a part of the emerging open-air painting movement in the 19th century. He formed friendships with other Swedish artists and traveled to Paris to study French landscape realism. His paintings were known for their coloristic finesse and emphasis on light. He often painted landscapes along the coastline of Sweden, including Hallands Väderö. His painting from 1882 shows influences of French outdoor painting and Japanese woodcuts
