Jean Kirsten (Born 1966) is known for Painting.

Jean Kirsten was born in 1966 in Dresden. From 1990-1995 Jean studied painting at the Dresden Academy of Art with Günter Horlbeck. 1996 to 1997 Jean was a master student of Günther Hornig and from 1998-2004 was his assistant. Kirsten had residencies at the Künstlerhaus Lukas Ahrenshoop, Greece and the USA, and has been working freelance since 2004, specializing in screen printing in his own workshop. In 2007 and 2008 Kirsten was artist in residence in Pittsburgh / USA, Belgium and Skopje / Macedonia.
