David Teniers III (1638 - 1685) was active/lived in Flemish, Belgium.  David Teniers III is known for Religious themed painting.

David Teniers III (baptized 10 July 1638 - 2 October 1685) was a Flemish painter , draftsman and Curator, who was born in Antwerp, Belgium, the son of David Teniers the Younger.

Teniers was an innovator in painting a variety of genres such as history, genre,  landscape, portrait and still life. He is particularly known for the development of  peasant genre such as bar scenes.

He founded the Antwerp Academy in 1664.

Teniers III married Anna Maria Bonnarens on 4 April 1671 and fathered five children. The eldest child, David Teniers IV (1672-1731), appears to have been yet another painter in the dynasty and painted in the style of his more celebrated father..
