Carlo Fornara (1871 - 1968) was active/lived in Italy. Carlo Fornara is known for Painting.
Carlo Fornara was born in 1871. In 1891, Carlo Fornara discovers Divisionism for the first time. After a sojourn in Lyons, France, he adopts the spontaneous neo-impressionist technique. His picture "En plein air", was refused at the 1897 Triennale of Milan for the audacity of its colours. An important step in his career is his encounter with Giovanni Segantini and Vittore Grubicy de Dragon. Both of them were famous Divisionist artists whose influence lead him to adopt the divisionist technique. He regularly showed his works in important international exhibitions. Later, he adopts a more personal style and retires in Val Vigezzo in 1922. He passed away in 1968.
