Geographical locations implying cultural, social and philosophical differences are topics that constantly appear in the artist's works. Szlaga uses the categories of ethnicity, national identity, language and history through which he visualizes the contemporary world understood by him as a map of the Transatlantyk. The author presents this space as an area of constant cultural exchange and migration of people with all the consequences of this process. In his paintings, the artist touches upon the problems of racial or religious intolerance, people pushed to the margins of society, and the influence of capitalism and man on today's reality.
