Karl Josef Muller was born in 1865 in Hamburg. He became a German portrait painter, draftsman and illustrator. He was a student at the Academy in Dresden and Berlin. Muller was also called "soldiers Müller" because he prefers images (often with a humorous tendency) painted before the First World War from the soldier's life, war and maneuvers (especially from the 76th Regiment).
