Revello de Toro

Revello de Toro (Born 1926) is active/lives in Spain.  Revello Toro is known for Realist style female portraits, hunting scenes and still life painting.

Revello de Toro became fond of painting as a child, receiving his first artistic training with Father Oliver, at the Jesuit school in El Palo. Later he expanded his training at the School of Fine Arts in Malaga, Spain where he had as teachers Álvarez Dumond, Burgos Oms, Murillo Carreras and Bermúdez Gil.

He made his solo debut when he was only twelve years old, and after finishing his studies he obtained a scholarship to further his studies in Madrid. He studied at the Academia de San Fernando for five years, at the end of which he obtained the Extraordinary Prize of Fine Arts and the Carmen del Río scholarship, which allowed him to study in Rome in 1951.

Upon his return, his work will began to be admired as a result of his personal exhibitions of 1953 in the Macarrón room and at the Madrid Casino. That same year he married and won the examinations for professor of Fine Arts in Barcelona, specifically at the La Lonja School.
