Myer Schaffer

Myer Schaffer (1912 - 1983) was active/lived in California.  Myer Schaffer is known for Painter, graphic artist, teacher.

Born in NYC on May 25, 1912. Schaffer studied at Chouinard Art School and with David A. Siqueiros. While a resident of Los Angeles in the 1930s-1940s, he painted murals for the Federal Art Project. At the time of his death in June 1983 his address was Los Angeles. Member: American Artists Congress; United Fed. of Artists. Exh: Painters & Sculptors of LA, 1935; American Artists Congress (LA), 1936; Borden Gallery (LA), 1939. In: Mt Sinai Home (LA); City of Hope (LA); McKinley Jr. High School (Pasadena); Dept. of Natural Resources (Carpinteria).
