Marten Andersson

Marten Andersson (1934 - 2017) was active/lived in Sweden.  Marten Andersson is known for Figures in elegant settings-painting.

Mårten Andersson, who lived from 1934 to 2017, debuted in Stockholm at 23 years old and got off to a good start in his career.  The exhibition was presented in 8 daily newspapers and the reviews were positive.  At that time, the reviews could be much sharper than today, many debut shows were completely watched and the artists had a very hard time coming back.  As a child, he received from his father a folder containing about ten works of art published by the Swedish Radio.

One of the pictures was Grünewald's "The Singing Tree", a painting that made a deep impression on him.  His admiration for Grünewald has stood out over the years.  He has also taken the impression of a branch of the naivistic art with Lim-Johan as the main representative.  Mårten Andersson has always been interested in folk art.
