Lawyer, academically trained painter, born on Oct. 24, 1888 in Bad Neuhaus close to Cilli, Austria (today's Dobrna, close to Celje, Slovenjia) studied at the University of Graz in Austria, graduated from Law School in 1914, and in the same year entered the Styrian Prefecture. Studies at the provincial art school in Graz under the professors Alfred Zoff, Anton Marussig, and Daniel Pauluzzi

First works exhibited at the Society of Fine Arts in the Joanneum in 1913 where one painting was acquired by the Society.  Member of the Society of Fine Arts in Graz since 1920, and President of the Society from 1952 until his death in Graz on February 24, 1972.

Exhibitions:
All exhibitions of the Society of Fine Arts from 1919 to 1972; 1921 and 1934 Wiener Künstlerhaus; 1927 Kunsthaus Brackl in Munich; International Alps Exhibition (Alpenausstellung) in Budapest.
