Felix Planquette

Felix Planquette (1873 - 1964) was active/lived in France.  Felix Planquette is known for Painting.

Felix Planquette (1873-1964)

Felix Planquette trained under the Belgian painter Alexandre Houzé and at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lille and Paris. In 1894 Planquette exhibited for the first time at the Salon des Artistes Français winning an honorable mention. He continued to exhibit there in 1900 and in 1902 he won the third place medal, then the Médaille d'Or in 1905, and another medal in 1912. He is known for the remarkable realism of his animals and landscape. In fact, nearly all of his paintings include either just animals in a rural setting or animals with figures doing work in a similar setting. Planquette's works have been shown in museums in Arras, France and San Francisco.
