August Querfurt (1696 - 1761) was active/lived in Germany.  August Querfurt is known for Battle scene paintings.

After training under his father, the landscape and animal painter, Tobias Querfurt, August Querfurt went to Augsburg to work in the studio of Rugendas.  He found his own style by studying the works of Wouwerman.  Querfurt's battle scenes enjoyed great success amongst the princely collectors of his time.
