Nadine Kent Drummond (1912 - 1966) was active/lived in Colorado, California.  Nadine Drummond is known for Expressionist regional painting, teaching.

Nadine Kent Drummond (1912-1966) was a transitional artist who successfully changed styles from regionalism* to expressionism*. She was admired for her competence by her early teachers and, in the 1950's by her Denver contemporaries.

Nadine was born in Trinidad, Colorado, the daughter of E.B. Kent, owner of a successful candy store. She attended East High School in Denver, and graduated from Colorado College in 1934, where she studied under Boardman Robinson. Another mentor was Vance Kirkland. Nadine taught landscape and life painting at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center* from 1938 to 1940 as the assistant to Robinson and Otto Bach. She continued her study of painting with classes from the German expressionist, Max Beckmann, at the University of Colorado in Boulder. She worked for the Federal Government in 1935, executing one mural. Her style reflects the teachings of Robinson with a hint of cartooning and illustration.
