Art for Sale
Yves Swolfs

Yves Swolfs (Born 1955) is known for Comics.

Inspired by the first westerns of Sergio Leone, Yves Swolfs (born in 1955) imagines the Durango series in 1980, the story of a lonely cowboy turned pistolero by force of circumstances. Having lost the use of his right hand, Durango has become accustomed, over albums, to compensate for his handicap by the use of automatic weapons. Usually equipped with a Mauser C96, it is armed with a machine gun that the "peacemaker" fights furiously alongside the Mexican revolutionaries. A paroxistic sequence, where the artist takes a certain pleasure to put in front of the stage this instrument of death, whose coppery highlights are detached in the bluish atmosphere.
