Walery Eljasz-Radzikowski

Walery Eljasz-Radzikowski (1840 - 1905) was active/lived in Poland.  Walery Eljasz Radzikowski is known for Painting.

Walery Eljasz-Radzikowski was a student of Wladyslaw Luszczkiewicz in the SSP in Kraków (1856-62). Influenced by his work, Eljasz-Radzikowski began to paint historical compositions.

Walery continued his painting education in Munich, where he specialized in watercolor painting in the studio of Teodor Horschelt (1862-65).

Radzikowski's work developed in two thematic streams - the first included historical compositions inspired by the national past and fine literature; landscape painting, especially Tatra views, belonged to the second trend.
